Continuing on with New York Fashion Week recap (and now I'm missing London Fashion Week), I thought the Ralph Lauren show was gorgeous. Very ethereal. I loved the dusty shades of grays, ivories and pinks and the feminine fabrics and shapes. There was a masculine element to the collection too with all of the three piece suits. I've talked about how three piece suits are coming back for men but women? I'm not quite sure how I feel about that in real life but on the runway, I thought it looked great. Oh, I also love all the ruffly scarves! Take away trends: muted, neutral shades, silky fabrics, updated tweeds, fur.

Vivienne Westwood
Well, Fashion Week is over but, this week, I will continue to share what I found inspiring and fabulous. I really enjoyed Vivienne Westwood's Red Label collection. Here are some of my faves.
I die for those boots and love the gray and red together.
I am love, loving the dusty shades here. And I'm inspired by the layers and those shoes are great.
Love the plaid and the belt and the overall cut of that dress and the boots are unexpected and fabulous.
Simple, yet fabulous.
This is one of my favorites. Again with the layered look, the great boots and colors - loving the shades of orange and yellow.
I would walk out of the house in this exact outfit and I would feel completely fabulous.
Update: We've been seeing tons of gold on the runway overall. Should be huge for fall.
Can't explain it, just love this one.

Stylin'
A couple of photos I helped style of musician, Joey Salinas. They turned out hot! I love. Photographed by Tim Coburn and styled by James Cornwell.
Boyfriend Pants
This rarely happens to me but I have to admit that the boyfriend jeans/pants trend caught me a little off guard. Of course, I saw that the celebrities were wearing it and it was starting to pop up but I did not predict that it would hit the masses so quickly and with such force. All of a sudden I looked around and all the stores are filled with boyfriend jeans for spring.
The lady who started it all. I credit Katie Holmes with starting this trend when she began stepping out in literally her "boyfriend's" jeans (she's been seen actually sporting Tom's pants) as well as putting Current/Elliott on the map with their version of the jean.
I like the idea of boyfriend pants too, they don't have to be denim. These two images are from Lucky Magazine's March issue.
This pair by Paige is my pick. I love. I suggest wearing them cut a little slimmer than Katie sports them and pairing them with heels to offset the masculine.
P.S. Happy Valentine's Day. Appropriate day to be talking about your boyfriend's pants, I guess. ;)

Post photo shoot toast. I spent the evening helping the fabulous James Cornwell and Tim Coburn style a shoot for artists, Joey Salinas and Rachel Panay. Good times.

Article and Events
I was quoted in another On Tap article this month. The magazine is focused on fashion in DC this issue so you should definitely pick one up or you can read it online. There are a couple of fashion weeks coming up in the DC area this month, some of which is discussed in On Tap. You can also get more info here for DC Fashion Week and here for NOVA Fashion Week. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
